QUICK SETUP
1. Make sure all items listed in the BOX CONTENTS section are included in the box.
2. READ SAFETY & WARRANTY INFORMATION BOOKLET BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT.
3. Plug all devices into an appropriate power source.
CAUTION! Permanent hearing loss may be caused by exposure to extremely high noise levels. The U.S.
Government's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has specified permissible exposures
to certain noise levels.
According to OSHA, exposure to high sound pressure levels (SPL) in excess of these limits may result in
hearing loss. When using equipment capable of generating high SPL, use hearing protection while such
equipment is under operation.

INTRODUCTION
Thanks for purchasing the Alto Professional AX2304 2-Way/3-Way/Mono 4-Way Crossover! AX2304 is at the
heart of your sound, so you don’t want to trust just any processor for your signal. With AX2304 you can
command your signal with precision with high-quality filters, rugged casing and the ability to operate in
various configurations. AX2304 is a crossover you can trust to split your signal with razor-sharp accuracy for
maximum sonic clarity and impact.
• Absolutely flat summed amplitude response with zero phase difference
• 24 dB-per-octave Linkwitz-Riley filters
• Individual output level controls for all bands
• Limiters on each output for optimal loudspeaker protection
• Independent output mutes for easy band adjustment
• Individual phase reverse switches for instant phase correction
• Switchable 25 Hz subsonic filter on each input for low-frequency driver protection
• Low Sum function provides low-level mono output for subwoofer operation
• Adjustable time delay for phase alignment between drivers
• CD horn equalization for constant directivity horn compensation
• Servo-balanced, gold-plated XLR connectors for all inputs and outputs
• Ultra-high-precision potentiometers for ultimate accuracy and repeatability
• High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction for long life and reliability
• Shielded toroidal mains transformer for minimal noise interference

FRONT PANEL
1. INPUT GAIN - Controls the Input level with +/- 12 dB of gain.
2. LOW CUT - Switch for selecting the 25 Hz high pass filter.
3. CROSSOVER FREQUENCY - Adjusts the frequencies for the
low and high bands.
4. DELAY - Provides a timing delay of up to 2 seconds for
the signal to reach the outputs, which is helpful to align
speaker systems in phase.
5. GAIN - Controls the frequencies output level with a range
of -∞ to +6 dB.
6. PHASE INVERT - Reverses the polarity of the output by
180 degrees to compensate for high-frequency
cancellation.
7. MUTE - Mutes the output of the selected frequency.
8. CD HORN - Compensates for the high-frequency roll-off in a CD (Constant Directivity)
Horn loudspeaker by providing the same sound pressure levels at frequencies above 3.5
kHz within the sound coverage area.
9. STEREO - LED indicating stereo mode operation.
10. THRESHOLD - Sets the point at which the Limiter will affect the signal.
11. MULTIBAND LIMITER – Activate this to prevent the signal from clipping.
12. POWER - Press this button to power AX2304 on/off.
REAR PANEL
1. POWER - Connect the included power cable here and then connect to a wall outlet.
2. FREQUENCY OUTPUT - Outputs for the various frequency bands.
3. XOVER FREQ X10 - When the X10 button is pressed on the rear panel, the frequency range is
multiplied by 10.
4. CHANNEL INPUT - Connect your source device here.
5. MODE - Select the mode to use to process each of the frequency bands.
6. LF - Select between having the low frequencies be in stereo or summed together in mono.
