USER’S AND INSTALLATION MANUAL
Thank you for choosing this PROEL product. Our products are synonymous of accuracy,
excellent quality and professional competence.
Safety and Operating Precautions:
- Before installing the unit, carefully read these instructions and keep them for future
reference.
- Protect this unit from atmospheric agents and do not use it near water or in places with
high humidity levels.
- This unit must be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, spot lights, and so
on.
- To clean inner and outer parts do not use solvents, alcohol, petrol, or other volatile
substances, to remove dust use carefully a brush in good state or a feather duster.
- Loudspeaker lines (amplier outputs) can have a suciently high voltage (i.e. 100 V) to
involve a risk of electrocution: never install or connect this loudspeaker when the line is
alive.
- Make sure all connections have been made correctly and the loudspeaker input voltage (in
a constant voltage system) or its impedance is suitable for the amplier output.
- Protect loudspeaker lines from damage; make sure they are positioned in a way that they
cannot be stepped on or crushed by objects, furniture, construction materials.
- Check the suitability of the support surface to which the product is anchored (wall, ceiling,
structure, etc.), and the components used for attachment (screw anchors, screws, brackets
not supplied by PROEL etc.), which must guarantee the security of the system / installation
over time, also considering, for example, the mechanical vibrations normally generated by
transducers.
- Should the loudspeaker emit any strange odours or smoke, remove it from the line after
having switched the amplier o. Contact the installer, the nearest authorized maintenance
centre or a PROEL authorized service centre.
- PROEL strongly recommends this product is only installed by professional qualied installers
(or specialised rms) who can ensure a correct installation and certify it according to the
regulations in force. The entire audio system must comply with the current standards and
regulations regarding electrical systems.
- To ensure a correct musical reproduction, loudspeaker phase is to be respected
(loudspeakers are connected respecting the amplier polarity). This is important when
loudspeakers are installed adjacent one another, for instance, in the same room.
- To prevent inductive effects from causing hum, noise and a bad system working,
loudspeaker lines should not be laid together with other electric cables (mains), microphone
or line level signal cables connected to amplier inputs.

for contractor installation, featuring a built-in 100V transformer, removable dustproof grille
and excessive power tweeter protection. Designed for Public Address applications such as
announcement and background music broadcasting.

*note: the speaker can work with 70 V lines also, but in this case the nominal power are reduced at 1.25 W / 2.5 W
/ 5 W /10 W respectively.
Installation Instructions:
1. Before installing the speaker, make sure that the place chosen for installation has all the
necessary requirements: dimensions and depth, load weight capacity, away from heat and
humidity sources, correct aiming for the sound diusion area. Then make an hole of 165 mm
/ 6.5” (XE51CT) or 179 mm / 7” (XE65CT) in the false ceiling panel.
2. Remove the front t-in grille using a simple punch.
3. Connect the 100V constant voltage speaker line to the speaker screw terminals, choose
the nominal power connecting the wires at the coloured power terminal.
4. Turn the wing clamps inside then insert the speaker in the panel hole.
5. Screw the wing clamps screws, since the clamps lock tightly the speaker to the panel.
6. Put back the front t-in grille.

Precauzioni d’uso e di sicurezza:
- Prima di procedere con l’installazione leggere attentamente le istruzioni contenute nel
presente manuale e conservarlo per una consultazione successiva.
- Posizionare il prodotto al riparo da agenti atmosferici e a distanza di sicurezza dall’acqua e
da luoghi ad alto grado di umidità.
- Posizionare il prodotto lontano da fonti di calore (radiatori, luci, faretti di illuminazione etc.)
- Per la pulizia delle parti interne ed esterne non utilizzare diluenti, alcol, benzina, o altre sostanze
volatili, per eliminare la polvere usare con delicatezza un pennello in buono stato o un piumino.
- La linea altoparlanti a tensione costante (uscita dell’amplificatore) ha una tensione
sucientemente alta (100 V) da costituire un rischio di folgorazione per le persone: non
procedere mai all’installazione o alla connessione dell’altoparlante quando la linea di
altoparlanti è in tensione.
- Assicurarsi che tutte le connessioni siano corrette e che la tensione d’ingresso (in un
sistema a tensione costante) oppure l’impedenza dell’ altoparlante sia compatibile con le
caratteristiche d’uscita dell’amplicatore.
- Accertarsi che la linea altoparlanti non possa essere calpestata o schiacciata da oggetti,
elementi di arredo, materiale di costruzione, al ne di salvaguardarne la perfetta integrità.
- Vericare inoltre l’idoneità del supporto (parete, sotto, struttura ecc.) e dei componenti
utilizzati per il ssaggio (tasselli, viti, stae non fornite da PROEL ecc.) che devono garantire
la sicurezza dell’impianto / installazione nel tempo, anche considerando le vibrazioni
meccaniche normalmente generate da un altoparlante.
- Nel caso che dall’altoparlante provengano odori anomali o fumo, togliere immediatamente
la tensione dalla linea di altoparlanti e poi scollegare l’altoparlante. Contattare il tecnico
installatore o il servizio di assistenza tecnica qualicato PROEL più vicino.
- PROEL consiglia che l’installazione di questo prodotto sia eseguita solamente da installatori
professionali qualicati (oppure da ditte specializzate) in grado di eettuarla correttamente
e certicarla in accordo con le normative vigenti. Tutto il sistema audio dovrà essere in
conformità con le norme e le leggi vigenti in materia di impianti elettrici.
- Gli altoparlanti devono essere collegati in fase (corrispondenza delle polarità +/- tra
amplicatori e diusori) in modo da garantire una corretta riproduzione audio, soprattutto
quando i diusori sono collocati in posizione fra loro adiacente o nello stesso ambiente.
- Per evitare che fenomeni induttivi diano luogo a ronzii, disturbi e compromettano il buon
funzionamento dell’impianto, le linee di altoparlanti non devono essere canalizzate insieme
ai conduttori dell’energia elettrica, ai cavi microfonici, alle linee di segnale a basso livello che
fanno capo ad amplicatori.

*nota: l’altoparlante può funzionare anche con una linea da 70 V, in questo caso le potenze nominali saranno ridotte
a 1.25 W / 2.5 W / 5 W / 10 W rispettivamente.
Installazione:
1. Controllare che il punto scelto per l’installazione dell’altoparlante disponga di tutti i
requisiti necessari: dimensioni e profondità, tenuta meccanica del peso, lontano da fonti di
calore e umidità, puntamento corretto della zona da insonorizzare. Quindi praticare un foro
da 165 mm / 6.5” (XE51CT) o da 179 mm / 7” (XE65CT) sul pannello del controsotto.
2. Rimuovere la rete anteriore ad incastro usando un semplice punteruolo.
3. Collegare la linea altoparlanti a tensione costante 100V ai morsetti dell’altoparlante,
scegliere la potenza collegando i li ai rispettivi colori.
4. Girare i fermi verso l’interno ed inserire l’altoparlante nel foro del pannello.
5. Avvitare le viti dei fermi, anchè i fermi blocchino saldamente l’altoparlante al pannello.
6. Reinserire la rete anteriore.
